The Sauter's Wedding Day
Brooke + Michael tied the knot on May 28 of this year. Their day was full of beautiful details, so much love, and friends + family that were so excited to share these special moments with them. They began the morning getting ready at their reception venue, Stoney Creek in Onalaska, before heading to St. James’ Church on the North side of La Crosse.
The church had this little bathroom in the basement that was such a perfect place for Brooke’s finishing touches. We all squeezed in, and Brooke’s mom helped her button up her dress and get her veil in place.
We did a quick little first look with Brooke’s maid of honor, followed by a first look with dad — I love these!! First reactions are so special, and some of the most calm moments from busy wedding days.
While we kept Brooke + her girls inside most of the morning, Michael + his guys hung out front and kept things lighthearted and fun before the ceremony.
Brooke + Michael’s traditional catholic ceremony was so beautiful and full of friends and family.
Walking out of the church officially Mr + Mrs Sauter!
Post ceremony was a little wait time for the party bus to arrive, so we got some fun photos of Brooke with her bridesmaids.
The wedding party (+ close friends/fam) hopped on the party bus to make our way downtown La Crosse. This bus was seriously so much fun, and the wedding party made sure to keep the vibes up for the newlyweds!
We stopped at Riverside Park to take some wedding party photos. This group was so upbeat, and down for every suggestion I had! They made sure to bring lots of smiles and big energy, which always helps the photos feel so much more real and genuine.
When in La Crosse, you bar hop! The party bus took us from Riverside Park to State Room and Chucks where fun times followed.
A few hours later, we were delivered to Stoney Creek for The Sauter’s reception! Some shots, some yums, a couple speeches, and onto the dances.
I quite literally laughed out loud when Brooke + Michael tossed their Rumplemintz shots over their shoulders. Same, friends, same.
Brooke’s dad gave a speech that made everyone cry, photos to prove it
and then the newlyweds had their first dance as Mr. + Mrs. Sauter <3 followed by Michael + his mom, and Brooke + her dad.
After a bit of dancing, I snuck the bride + groom out back to get a little moment to themselves. Stoney Creek had this gorgeous archway set up, and we spent about 20 mins just taking some lovey photos of Brooke + Michael.
And then we finished the night with more dancing + drinks! Brooke + Michael had such a fun wedding party, and their guests were a blast to dance with. I’m so thankful they chose me to capture their day!!
