Baby Abear | La Crosse WI Maternity Portraits on the Rim of the City

I first met Sadie + Alex in spring 2021 to do a couple session at their home in Wisconsin Rapids. we walked around the woods behind their house, danced on their front porch, played with their puppy, and got some cool shots on Alex’s motorcycle. now fast forward to spring 2022, they drove to La Crosse for their maternity session! Baby Abear, due soon <3

they wanted a relaxed + casual feel to their photos, with focus on mama + her bump. our session started at the Upper Hixon Forest Trails — one of my fav spots! we got lucky with a moderately warm spring day, sunshine, and trails free of mud — unheard of for March in Wisconsin!

we finished our session at the Rim of the City. another one of my favs! we had plenty of little stops along the way for twirls and kisses and all the pda I force on my couples during sessions. and Sadie freaking rocked that dress. a gorgeous perfect mama to be.

when we were planning our locations, Sadie let me know that Alex is afraid of heights. I said that’s fine, he can chill off to the side so mama can have her ~moment~.

i’m so glad these two were able to make the trip to La Crosse to spend the night with me! it was so fun to catch up, and wild to see them in this stage of life together. so in love, so excited for their little bean to come earthside soon. i’m beyond happy for them and it’s such a blessing to work with couples more than once, to see them through more than one stage of life. this stage might just be my favorite.
